Max Folsom is a retired Canadian bookmobile librarian, who later served for eight years as president of the library board of trustees in Arlington, Vermont. Folsom is a member of Sisters in Crime, the League of Vermont Writers, and Crime Writers of Canada. She has been interviewed by John Hoda on his regular podcast My Favorite Detective Stories, and she was a panelist during the 2022 Maple Leaf Mystery Conference in Ottawa, Canada. She is married to a retired Canadian military officer and divides her time between their Ottawa Centretown apartment and their Vermont stone house. She lives with her husband and Cato, their fat, furry, free-loading ginger cat. She is currently at work on her fourth novel. Reading mysteries is her favorite pastime activity and several times she has read more than 200 books in a year.
