Biography
Sharon Healy-Yang: A huge fan of films and books created during the 1930s-50s, with their blend of sharp wit, romance, and dark suspense, I was inspired to create my noir-inflected Jessica Minton Mystery series: Bait and Switch, a finalist in the National Indie Excellence Awards; Letter from a Dead Man; Always Play the Dark Horse; and Shadows of a Dark Past, a ghost story. My Vicki Westlake series, starting with Surprise!, also features an intrepid, witty, imaginative female lead ripe for a little romance, even if it is mixed with mystery and murder. Both series will get new installments in the fall of 2026: Dusty's Christmas Surprise (Jessica) and Memories of You (Vicki).
If you enjoy the strong female characters, humor, ingenious plotting, romance, and vivid recreation of eras past, my novels should be your cup of tea.
